In short
JUNE can be operated from your AI assistant. You ask your question where you already work — the assistant fetches what it needs from JUNE, works with it, and files results straight back into the case.
There is no second set of data. Everything stays in JUNE.
You see only what you are entitled to see in JUNE.
Available for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT. Further providers follow.
This article describes what is possible today, whichever assistant you use. Where the assistants differ, you will find it at the end.
Planning your day
Instead of opening three lists, you ask one question. The answers are linked: one click takes you to the case.
“Which deadlines expire in the next seven days?”
“Which appointments are coming up this week?”
“Which tasks are still open?”
“Which cases have I worked on most recently?”
Picking up an unfamiliar case
Cover, handover or a client calling back: the assistant summarises the state from the case file, not from memory.
“Summarise case 00022E2026: participants, subject matter, latest correspondence, next deadline.”
“Who is involved in this case, and in what role?”
“Which messages came in most recently?”
“Show me the case data.”
Finding and reading documents
The search runs on the content, not on file names. The assistant names the passage, not just the document.
“Search the documents in this case for the notice period and quote the passage.”
“Which cases in this matter contain an arbitration clause?”
“Summarise the opposing party’s latest pleading.”
“Give me a download link for the letter dated 12 May.”
Document data such as date, sender or document class can be read and maintained as well.
Creating letters from templates
New: the assistant can produce letters from your templates, addressed to a participant in the case and filled with the case’s own data.
Ask for the templates first. You get the templates released for the matter, and for each one the people who can be addressed — the participants whose role the template allows.
“Which letter templates are available for case 00022E2026?”
“Create the payment reminder to the opposing party as a PDF.”
There are two routes for the result:
As a PDF — the letter is filed into the case straight away. Nothing else to do.
As a Word file — you get a download link, revise the letter and then file it back into the case. The link is valid for about ten minutes, so download the file right away.
If the template contains a statement of claim or an interest calculation, name the receivable account and the as-of date:
“Create the statement of claim for the debtor, using the receivable account as of 30 September.”
If a template has no suitable addressee in the case, the assistant says so. Create the contact, add them to the case as a participant and repeat the request — both can be done in the same conversation.
Maintaining cases and filing documents
Capture things in conversation, right after the client call, without opening a form:
“Add a note about today’s call to case 00022E2026 and set a deadline for 12 September.”
“Set the amount in dispute to €75,000 and update the file number.”
“Create a new contact and add them to the case as a participant.”
“Prepare this letter for dispatch.”
You can also upload your own files into a case — a revised letter, or a document from the opposing party. Please note: this is currently not available in Microsoft 365 Copilot (see below).
Analysing across many cases
The assistant evaluates structured case data across a whole portfolio. The result is a table you can use directly.
“Build a table of all open proceedings with an amount in dispute above €50,000 — with court, file number, opposing party and next deadline.”
“Which cases in this matter are at the status ‘claim filed’?”
What the assistant deliberately does not do
Deletion is not possible. Deleting cases or documents is deliberately not available to the assistant.
Permissions are unchanged. Roles and mandate separation apply exactly as they do in the interface.
Changes are confirmed. You see what will be written before it happens; plain queries run without a prompt.
No training on your data. Your case files stay your case files.
Differences between the assistants
The scope is largely identical. One exception concerns uploading files in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Capability | Copilot | Claude | ChatGPT |
Read, search, analyse | yes | yes | yes |
Maintain notes, deadlines, appointments, case data | yes | yes | yes |
Create a letter as PDF and file it into the case | yes | yes | yes |
Create a letter as a Word file and download it | yes | yes | yes |
File a revised document back into the case | no | yes | yes |
Upload your own files into a case | no | yes | yes |
Why uploading is missing in Copilot: Microsoft 365 Copilot provides no sandbox to hold a file and cannot transfer binary files to JUNE. We have therefore hidden the capability there rather than letting it fail, and we have raised the limitation with Microsoft. In Claude and ChatGPT it works as described.
You can still create letters in Copilot — choose PDF, and the letter is filed into the case straight away. Only the detour through an edited Word file is currently unavailable there.
